Default Dedicated server questions

Looking for a dedicated server (in TX) to host 3 gameservers and 2 websites.
Games are COD4, AA:SF and COD5 when it comes out. Each server would be max 32 slots. Doubt they will be full 24/7. And the 2 websites run on E107 and SMF. Those would need PHP, Apache and MySql to run.

Is the Intel Xeon 3060 package able to handle this without huge amounts of lag? I am on a strict budget.

Then the question of domain names. Am I able to keep the names registered elsewhere and have them point to this server?

Thank you.

Hello,

You shouldn't have a problem running the game servers on the core2duo but you might start taxing the resources with the websites (mysql). I would suggest the Quadcore 3220 server for your needs.

Your domains could be pointed to the server which is a simple task done through where you purchased the domains.

Hope this helps!

1 more question, monthly price is good for how long?
When does or would it go up?

Monthly price is locked at the price you ordered the server. It won't change.

Is Windows required or can the box run Linux, cPanel and cPGS?

Hello,

We have several versions of both Windows and Linux available which you can choose from (see order form)

If your wanting to add tcadmin cp you would need to choose Windows.

Hope this helps!

Prices are posted on the website. There is no extra charge for the OS.

Wouldn't the price go down for Centos? Unlike Windows, it's free.
