 DefCon Future?

Hello, Yes, This is a game we are devoting attention to. At the moment the multiplayer serving component lacks the tools to properly host. There's talk of a patch being released that will address these problems. Once this is done we can release the game for rental. Keep an eye on the main web page for news on this. Thanks

excellent! I am very pleased to hear this. Other gamers that I play with have given DefCon high marks, and I am anxious to see what they are talking about

yes, atm the MP is very buggy, a lot of lag issues etc. but supposedly an upcoming patch is supposed to fix this and other issues

May I ask what is the machine specs on the one you are playing this game on? I tried to play the demo but it was very laggy, I guess you really need the Gig of ram that they recommend and a strange video driver.

well, i had to upgrade to play it, now i am running 2gb ram ( 4 x 512) and a 7900 GT card...

Machine Specs: Dell XPS Gen 4 P4 3.4GHz HT 800MHz FSB 3GB DDR2 @ 533MHz Dual 150GB WD SATA drives on RAID 1 with an additional 150 GB WD SATA stand-alone GFX= BFG 6800GTX/OC Gigabit Ethernet on a 6000/1.5Mb business class DSL connection. I can host a "LAN" server thru VPN and play at the same time, with 3 other connections, no lag. The game is extreamly system resource intensive. When I first installed it, it ran horrible. After updating my video drivers, (dropped the custom drivers and used the 84.21 release from Nvidia) the game ran like a charm. MP is still full of bugs, but aside from the lack of a SADS component, they are trivial at best. I will be watching for the SADS package, hopefully UBI and GRIN wont let us down like UBI and RedStorm did with Lockdown.
